We are pleased to present The Ellwood City Hospital Community Health Needs Assessment Report – a collection and analyses of data regarding health issues and needs. This study was conducted to identify health issues of primary significance in the areas served by The Ellwood City Hospital in accordance with Internal Revenue Service guidance pursuant to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
The health of our community is, and must continue to be, an issue of concern and action for all of us. The information in this report will encourage collaboration in identifying and establishing goals to address the complex health needs of our community. The results enable all of us to more strategically establish priorities, improve interventions, and dedicate resources to improve the health of our community and the region.
With the completion of the health needs assessment, The Ellwood City Hospital established an implementation strategy to best address the community’s health needs and improve the overall health and well-being of the residents of the community.
